Fundraising News

In order to provide a safe and effective training environment for our athletes, we have to have certain kit. Much of which I obtained before setting up the club, some of which we rent from the school.

But, as our athletes develop, so we need to get more kit. Here is what we have been doing:

gymnastics club Ex15

Landing mat

So far the 10 supporters of Excelsior Athletic Development Club on easyfundraising. have raised a fantastic £139.57 towards our crash mat but only  £6.09 towards our weightlifting chalk bowl.

(You can help us by joining here: it costs you no money and retailers donate for every purchase you make online).

Sponsored tracksuits

A big thank you to Willand Composters who have kindly sponsored tracksuits for our gymnasts.

This means that our gymnasts can now get a club tracksuit for only £16.

I shall be placing an order before half term, please let me know the size you want.

5-6/ 7-8/ 9-10/ 11-13 (Jack bought 5-6, Daisy bought 9-10).

Our weightlifters and runners can also order one, for a very reasonable£28.

Funds (payable to Excelsior Athletic Development Club) and sizes to me by Thursday 11th February please.

Other kit:

I have also applied for funding from several different sources for some more weightlifting and gymnastics kit: we are waiting for replies on bars, vault boxes, springboards and a beam. A big thank you to Caroline Dummett for helping me out with this. Any other help from parents in applying for funds will be appreciated.
